The book we were reading a few weeks ago was Zack (title of the book), by a very talented writer, William Bell. We followed along while MJ reads out loud to our class, Div 15. MJ gives us time to have a conversation with our table group about Zack, draw and write. Despite the racism and torture, Zack was an ordinary 17 years old teenager who uncovers an ancient box while digging holes in the back yard and it inspired him to travel to Mississippi to find his grandfather, yet not knowing anything about him because his family had never mentioned about him. Also Zack was very fond of a person named, Pawpine, the owner of the box, with the gold nugget and the iron C's. We all say "Zack" was a "great book" and we have formed many questions, and yet know a few.In the end we made a project, I congratulate everyone, we did an amazing work. (so be proud of yourselves! ) We learned the difference between modes and media how they were used with Diane, and use them for our projects.Now we're online, Mulitiliteracies.ca to do a demostration, gallery,or presentation ... etc. We can make a powerpoint, slide show, booklet... and other projects.
