About a month ago, our class finished the book called Zack. We had an open house to show  our Zack projects. But, we are now working on an another project  about Zack. I am going to tell you a little bit about the story.

Zack is an African-Canadian person.  He is 17 years old in the story. He did not have a lot of friends when he was in high school. But  when he moved to a small city called Fergus, it was even harder to make friends. Zack also experience discrimination in his life, both in Toronto and in the Fergus. 

Also, his mom, Etta and dad suffered discrimination because his mom was a black person and his dad was a white person. When Etta said to her father (Lucas) that she was marrying a white person, Lucas did not like it. So he said, "Then I don't want anything to do with you." Which meant he wanted Etta out of his life. But, closer to the end, Lucas came to Toronto to see his Grandson, Zack. Lucas did not know he had a grandson until Zack went to Mississippi to see his grandfather and find out about Lucas and Etta's troubles in getting along.
