Here we have a Grade 8 students representation of Shakespeare's "Shall I Compare Thee To a Summer's Day? " through stop action animation. This student is interpreting the sonnet a mode in which he is very comfortable and has skill and interest. Through design and re-design this student has had to make meaning and bring it into an new artistic form. This shows that the student has comprehension of the sonnet beyond the literal level.
